We are in a digital world, the online era.
The Edo Oline Journalists Group has been created on WhatsApp, and will soon be created on all  social media platforms. 
The group shall be populated by owners of online platforms, bloggers, vloggers and online media activists.
Synergy, training, access to the vast global opportunities the internet offers as well as  upward development of practice has become very imperative and a sine qua non in today's world.
With communication only second to oxygen and worldwide information at every enlightened person's finger tips,  this group's platform must be used to enhance our collective and individual growth and fast development. 
Together our voices will be heard loud and clear in government and private circles with the aim of making it the preferred channel of information dissemination, to most because of the fact that it is on time real time, automated, not manual, digital, ICT driven and not analogue.
So much so that anyone who is not at home with online ways of doing things is only dwelling in the past and if not careful will be left in the dustbin of history... of the past.

Edo won’t fight Oba of Benin over returned artefacts, says Obaseki

Segun Adewole 12 July 2021 Kindly share this story: The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has said his administration won’t engage in “disrespectful exchanges” with the Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, over stolen artefacts. This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Secretary to the Edo State Government, Osarodion Ogie. This was in reaction to a statement issued by the Oba of Benin asking the Federal Government to temporarily take custody of 1,130 stolen Benin artefacts that are about to be repatriated from Europe. This is as the monarch stated that the rightful destination of the artefacts should be the Benin Royal Museum. The monarch said this following a statement issued by the Edo State Government which revealed that a “transformational” museum would be built in Benin to house the artefacts upon their return. Members of the Edo State House of Assembly and the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Edo State Chapter, have congratulated the Edo St ate Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, on his emergence as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s flagbearer in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state, scheduled to hold on September 19, 2020.   In separate congratulatory messages, they reaffirmed support for the re-election bid of Governor Obaseki on the back of his administration’s people-oriented programmes, policies and rapid rejuvenation of all sectors of the state.   The statement by the Assembly members was jointly signed by the Speaker, Rt.
