BREAKING!!! Nigerian Chief Of Army Staff, General Ibrahim Attahiru is Dead


The Nigerian Chief of Army Staff Ibrahim Attahiru has been reportedly killed in a plane crash in Kaduna.

The Army chief was in a training aircraft which crashed at the runway of the Kaduna international airport.

The incident was said to have occurred at about 6 pm while it was raining heavily.

According to reports, over 5 other people have been reportedly killed in the crash.

Following the intervention of the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, the State Police Command has commenced the release of #ENDSARS protesters, arrested across the state.    Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication Strategy, Mr. Crusoe Osagie, said in Benin City, the state capital on Monday that “the release of the  #ENDSARS protesters in the state, followed the intervention of Governor Obaseki.”    Osagie added: “Governor Obaseki held talks with the Edo State Police Commissioner, Mr Johnson Kokumo on the need to release the protesters and the release has commenced across the state.”    Recall that the governor, while lauding the Inspector General of Police for the dissolution of SARS, assured the release of arrested #ENDSARS protesters in the state and urged protesting youths to de-escalate confrontations.

Coronavirus: Edo residents commend govt's stay-at-home order

Residents in Edo State have commended the state government for its response to the coronavirus (COVID-19), noting that the stay-at-home order was expedient in containing the spread of the virus.   A cross-section of residents, who spoke with journalists in Benin City, said the state government has taken commendable steps in containing the spread of COVID-19, ensuring that people observed social distancing and restricting unnecessary movements that could jeopardise their health.   Mr. Fidelis Omoragbon, a resident in Ekehuan Road area of Benin metropolis, said he had to comply with the directive by government because of the sordid details of how COVID-19 has wreaked havoc in developed economies across the world.   According to him, "I commend the government for rising to the occasion to stem the spread of coronavirus. Obaseki sees prospects, opportunities in social media use by youths, businesses amid COVID-19 pandemic
