.         HON. PETER I. AGUELE

According to the Holy Book " For they that do know their God shall be as mount Zion which cannot be removed but abideth for ever, they shall be as trees planted by the river's side that bringeth forth good fruits, they  shall run and not be weary,  they shall be strong and shall do exploits " These are the memory quotes and devotion of Hon Peter Iziogie Aguele who wholeheartedly trust and commits his ways to God and at all times like the Biblical king David He  commits his battles to the Lord of host and as King David have always returned victorious in every battles and returned all the Glory to God Almighty was replicated today Tuesday the 9th day of March 2021 as He ( Hon Peter Iziogie Aguele) finally humbles Mr Victor Osobase Emukhagbon at the Supreme Court in a suit filled by Mr  Victor Osobase Emukhagbon challenging the earlier judgements of both the Trial and Appellate Courts that declared Hon Peter Iziogie Aguele as the duly ( Validly) elected Executive Chairman of Esan South East council  eleven months ago.

We will recall on the 20th Day of March 2020 when the High court sitting in Benin city through a landmark judgement declared that Hon Peter Iziogie Aguele was the duly and Validly elected Executive Chairman of Esan South East council being the only candidate who contested under the All Progressives Congress ( APC)  submitted same to the electoral umpire ( The Edo State Independent Electoral Committee) and subsequently returned as duly elected Chairman of the Council in the eyes of the law and therefore declared Him the authentic Executive Chairman of Esan South East Council while Mr Victor Osobase Emukhagbon was consequently sacked as the Chairman of Esan South East council and further directed by the Trial Court to refund all salaries  and allowances received within the two years he occupied the office as Chairman of Esan South East Council since from every legal parameters and opinions He was never an occupier of that office.

Mr Victor Osobase Emukhagbon was not satisfied with the judgement of the Trial court and as a result headed to the Appellate court to challenge same but as the Holy Book will  opined It was again " Overturn and Overturn" consequently the Appellate court in a landmark judgement struck out the Appeal by Mr Victor Osobase Emukhagbon and upheld the judgement of the Trial court which declared Hon Peter Iziogie Aguele as the Authentic Chairman of Esan South East council and  directed Mr Victor Osobase Emukhagbon to refund all  salaries and allowances He received as Chairman of council within the period under review without delay and further awarded a cost of five hundred thousand naira ( #500.000) against him.

Again Mr Victor Osobase Emukhagbon proceeded to the Apex to challenge the judgments of the Appellate court and today it was again " Overturned " and consequently the Apex court in a Historic  judgement struck out the suit for lack of  Merit and upheld the judgements of both the Trial and Appellate courts which declared Hon Peter Iziogie Aguele the Validly elected Executive Chairman of Esan South East council and directed Mr Victor Osobase Emukhagbon to immediately refund all salaries and allowances he received as Chairman of Esan South East council within the period under review back to the council and again awarded a cost of five hundred thousand naira ( #500.000) against Mr Victor Osobase Emukhagbon.

Therefore by this History judgement by the Apex court,  Mr Victor Osobase Emukhagbon was never elected as Chairman of Esan South East council and should never be accorded such relevance or complements.

Those who despite the paraphernalia at their disposal yet ignored the plights of the oppressed are as guilty as the oppressors themselves because God is always with the oppressed Therefore may I at this noble juncture  salute one of the greatest legal giant in the black Sahara Africa Barrister Dele Igbinedion for your sagacity, doggedness and your noble commitment to the plight of the oppressed, Sir may your type continue to exist, you stood by us through thick and thin in our struggle for genuine political emancipation through to this very day, Sir may posterity never record you less because time will judge but History must surely award marks, at this juncture Sir we say thank you and thank you for job well done.
