EDO2020 ELECTION POST MOTEM,1: Why APC lost the governorship election.

The problem with APC campaign was that they didn't say anything specific they would do, just like Obaseki said 4 years ago: among other things; 200,000 jobs, Gele gele seaport Dev, etc.
The simple agenda was a headline, or topic of the book. The body or content were not specific, against the acclaimed specificity adduced.
S.I.M.P.L.E.
*SECURITY: Under security, APC Should have said something like; obaseki gives police only #5m. We will be giving police #200m monthly, so they can station a patrol vehicle on every street and every 2 kilometers on the highway. Etc.
INFRASTRUCTURE: *APC Should have said APC government will construct an over head bridge road from ikpoba slope direct to m.m.way ending before igun junction to remove the chances of accident at that junction.
*Pedestrian bridges over major roads joint at Ring road, to eliminate the incident of pedestrians crossing Akpakpava/sakpoba/sapele roads; ditto urokpota/ mission/ forestry roads where such roads join the Ring road.
*4,000 housing units of 2 bedroom/3 bedroom flats. 1000 each year.
*All city street roads will be tarred.
*Education free up to university level.
*Health care free; no more ante natal or delivery fees.
*No More tickets for buses and taxis.
*Comrade buses free ride.
*Internet data devices to be installed on virtually all buildings.
MANPOWER DEVELOPMENT: *2m jobs to be created for able bodied men, youths and women or would be  paid 10,000 monthly, if there is no place to work.
All unemployed graduates would be turned to teachers as volunteers with small allowances.
Indeed there would be no unemployed persons in Edo state.
Automatic periodic training for all government workers.
All workers of government to be given car loans or housing funds.
PPP;(public private partnership):  *Another modular refinery would be facilitated for employment and export to drive industrialisation.
More power plants to cover the whole of Edo state.
Motor( small cars/ buses) assembly plant to be attracted.Etc, etc.? Ditto for "Leadership by example",& "Empowerment/ employment".
APC SHD'VE WON.BUT NAY!

Edo won’t fight Oba of Benin over returned artefacts, says Obaseki

Segun Adewole 12 July 2021 Kindly share this story: The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has said his administration won’t engage in “disrespectful exchanges” with the Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, over stolen artefacts. This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Secretary to the Edo State Government, Osarodion Ogie. This was in reaction to a statement issued by the Oba of Benin asking the Federal Government to temporarily take custody of 1,130 stolen Benin artefacts that are about to be repatriated from Europe. This is as the monarch stated that the rightful destination of the artefacts should be the Benin Royal Museum. PDP Primary: Edo Assembly members, LGA chairmen congratulate Obaseki, reaffirm support for governor’s re-election bid

Members of the Edo State House of Assembly and the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Edo State Chapter, have congratulated the Edo St ate Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, on his emergence as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s flagbearer in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state, scheduled to hold on September 19, 2020.   In separate congratulatory messages, they reaffirmed support for the re-election bid of Governor Obaseki on the back of his administration’s people-oriented programmes, policies and rapid rejuvenation of all sectors of the state.   The statement by the Assembly members was jointly signed by the Speaker, Rt.
