Coronavirus: Edo residents commend govt's stay-at-home order
Residents in Edo State have commended the state government for its response to the coronavirus (COVID-19), noting that the stay-at-home order was expedient in containing the spread of the virus. A cross-section of residents, who spoke with journalists in Benin City, said the state government has taken commendable steps in containing the spread of COVID-19, ensuring that people observed social distancing and restricting unnecessary movements that could jeopardise their health. Mr. Fidelis Omoragbon, a resident in Ekehuan Road area of Benin metropolis, said he had to comply with the directive by government because of the sordid details of how COVID-19 has wreaked havoc in developed economies across the world.
