Edo Police Command begins release of #ENDSARS protesters on Obaseki’s intervention

Following the intervention of the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, the State Police Command has commenced the release of #ENDSARS protesters, arrested across the state.    Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication Strategy, Mr. Crusoe Osagie, said in Benin City, the state capital on Monday that “the release of the  #ENDSARS protesters in the state, followed the intervention of Governor Obaseki.”    Osagie added: “Governor Obaseki held talks with the Edo State Police Commissioner, Mr Johnson Kokumo on the need to release the protesters and the release has commenced across the state.”    Recall that the governor, while lauding the Inspector General of Police for the dissolution of SARS, assured the release of arrested #ENDSARS protesters in the state and urged protesting youths to de-escalate confrontations.

Benin River Port: Edo govt assesses top transaction advisors for project

  The Edo State Government has commenced evaluation exercise for top bidders for the provision of Transaction Advisory (TA) Services for the Benin City River Port Project, in Gelegele area of the state.   Chairman, Benin City River Port-Project Technical Committee (BRP-PTC), Engr. Greg Ogbeifun, disclosed this to journalists in Benin City, during the bid evaluation exercise, which held in Government House.   The bidders are Engr. Samuel A. Akhibi, representing CPCS Transom Ltd, with a total cost figure of N397, 901,183.00; Mr. Christopher A.
